Sunrise Cambodia

Sunrise Cambodia

Sunrise Cambodia is a charity founded by legendary humanitarian, Geraldine Cox. Sunrise houses and educates Cambodian children in need. Handle has been generating publicity for Geraldine and Sunrise since 2013. A highlight being an episode of ABC Australian Story dedicated to Geraldine in 2015. Every year Handle creates and manages a media tour when Geraldine comes to Australia to fundraise. Her most recent vising resulted in coverage on a Nine News story which ran nationally, a double page spread in The Australian Weekend magazine, two Radio National interviews, an ABC Adelaide Mornings interview, a Neil Mitchell podcast interview and a story in The Australian online. This exposure enabled Geraldine to reach a huge number of Australians and raise much needed funds for the charity.

“Simone Heydon at Handle fell into my life by accident, and she has adopted me and my charity, Sunrise Cambodia. We met in September 2013 at a fundraiser, and she was moved to help me raise my profile in Australia. She has performed beyond all expectations. I have been featured on countless TV programs and radio shows, magazines, newspapers and more recently, podcasts. Simone was even able to secure an episode of the ABC’s Australian Story for me in 2015. This exposure has brought me many more sponsors and donations for the children of Sunrise. Every time I head to Australia to fundraise for the charity, I use Simone and Handle to put together a publicity tour for me, and every time it’s a great success. One could not ask for more in her field. I do not think anyone comes close to Simone and I feel blessed to have found her.”
